Pick your side

Revelation 14:8-11: “And another angel followed, saying, ‘Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.’ 9 Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 "he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.11 "And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name."

The battle lines will be drawn and the choices that are to be made will be irrevocable. Once you choose a side in this day there will be no changing. Those who for whatever reason when they bow down and worship the dragon and receive the mark of the beast will share in the wrath of God and the final judgment that awaits satan and his demons. For the people who line up against God will pay a dear price for their decision. The consequence is eternal and horrible. The punishment is that of hell. One misconception about hell is that the devil is somehow a ruler of this place. This is a place that was built by God to punishment and torment satan and his demons. He and everyone else who choose his side will endure this punishment for eternity. "And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name."

God will not be mocked. You cannot reap the benefit of enjoying God’s mercy and then choose to fight against the very sustainer of your life. Even today we have some people enjoying the mercy of God and yet remain refusing to accept His Gift to this world. Our country has been blessed by God and yet we as a country attack the very fabric of the foundation of this country. To say that this country is not a Christian Nation or that it was not founded on Christian principles is ludicrous and wrong. To have our Government try to remove God from every aspect of public life is mocking God. How much will He take of our rebellion? How much shall we mock His goodness?

The wrath of God will be poured out on this earth. Sides are being chosen even now. The question is what side will you choose? Are you ready to live with the consequences, which are for eternity?
